Exactly. Bowie may have even heard all the remasters for these box sets.

I really don’t believe that Bowie didn’t left any kind of instructions for the forthcoming boxsets after Five Years. If we ever see DLMD remixed, I firmly believe our dear friend greenlighted it before passing.

David Let Me Down HAS to be the title of the next boxset.

Now I remember why I wasn’t visiting this forum like I used to some years ago. Congrats, leaving again.

Don't take it too seriously and Chilly Down. Brazilian and English doesn't translate well on email/forum sometimes. I'm sure Sir Didymus was being funny and Colocally felt you were being overly familiar (as Brazilians can sometimes appear to the English).

Had to Google Sir Didymus and sure enough next thing that popped up on YouTube was this hysterical Labyrinth stuff unboxing video. Apparently Sir Didymus doesn't have his own toy figure .. oh dear. If you managed to watch it that far, there's also a Labyrinth book shown there before the woman finally shuts up. Anyway, if Labyrinth material is included in the next box set, there's a certain sales potential.

  11. It would be interesting but past remix efforts in other artists’ catalogs to strip out “overproduction” from albums haven’t been great successes (e.g., Let It Be . . . Naked and Double Fantasy Stripped Down).

Granted, that one was to strip out “under production.” :D

I have a Labyrinth wall calendar up this year in the breakfast nook. May is an all-Bowie month - seated with his leg slung over the side of the throne. Pretty similar to this buffalo shot:

  15. Sadly, the rights to 'hours...' belong to Parlophone / Warner, and the rights to Heathen and Reality are part of Columbia / Sony. So, if we see a box from early 2000s up to Blackstar, it will be released by Columbia, and probably it won't contain 'hours...'.

  16. Probably, the songs from Labyrinth may be included in the Re:Call compilation, because Bowie tracks are just half of the soundtrack, and the rights to it belong to EMI.

Do you really believe a new mix of Never Let Me Down would save this album from the scrapheap? I’ve never felt the mix was the main problem with the album, but the songs themselves, which simply weren’t any good to begin with.

Lots of very good songs. Lots of 80s drums. It's worth a shot.

If only because the MM Mix of Time Will Crawl changed it from an OK pop tune into one of my favorite Bowie tunes.

I can never get over the 'top gun pilot' line. Makes me cringe every time I hear it. It seemed corny at the time now it's corny and dated.

In fact a lot of the album could do with a lyric remix to address the macho posturing imo.

  22. I suppose the ‘Hallo Spaceboy’ box would contain The Leon Suites, as it was a finished but unreleased album.

  24. The Lazarus and I Can’t Give Everything Away edits were released as ‘Radio Edit’ versions, so I think they apply to the box.
