Hey guys.....my good friend is having a problem with 5.1 speakers for his HT.

Basically, he wants to put in a 5.1 speaker system for his HT. However, he doesnt want to run wires. The Sony wireless system he WAS going to buy makes you run a wire between the REAR speakers. His problem is that the rear speakers are right by a hallway, and he cannot run any wires between them. people woulkd trip on them. Thats why we wanted "total wireless" in the first place.

Have any of you guys had this problem, and what do you think he can do?
    Many thanks!!

There HAS to be a total wireless system out there, no?

I don't know about that. But if the only problem with the speakers he bought is crossing a doorway with a single wire, there are totally cordless drills that can be used to fix the problem. ;)

Is there an attic above the ceiling? If so just run the wires upward through the ceiling into the attic and back down to where the surround speakers are.
Or, run the wire around the baseboard then around the door frame at the hallway and hide it using Wiremold plastic enclosure. It looks fine if you use that product, it is also paintable.:) Home Depot sells.
