Thanks for the heads up guys. Went down and bought big. Bought lots of live Grateful Dead, expanded edition Fleetwood Mac etc.. Even new releases like The Who Live At The Fillmore East and Grateful Dead Anniversary edition of Anthem Of The Sun. Spent more than I planned, but hey, you only live once.

That Dylan mono sampler is sublime, has the entire classic Greatest Hits album + 5 more early Dylan classics.
Not a huge Dylan fan, but this is a 5 star spin, every song is great in its original mono format.
The GH album was never released in mono on cd, so this is definitely the way to go.

I'm seriously thinking on getting the Pure McCartney set, but that book packaging has me worried about scratches on the CDs.

That Louie Armstrong sampler CD is great, just be for warned that those are pre tape recordings, and we're taken from 78s, but it's the music that matters here!

Is the Time Capsule B-52s best of collection worth getting for $2.69?, the only song I know by them is Love Shack.

Tom Petty 4 cd live anthology
    changesbowie

About $30 out the door. Petty alone was stickered at $24.99.

Europe ‘72 at half off was $12.50. Replaced my worn out needle-drop cassette. Not bad.

My B&N did look like they were getting rid of CDs to make room for vinyl. Reminded me of the old days only in reverse. Long, strange trip indeed.

Mine has condensed the cds down and had empty shelving for at least 6 months. They already have a pretty large selection of vinyl. I asked the clerk at checkout if they were phasing out cds? She said they certainly weren't, but I have my doubts.

I bought the very best of the Coasters today for 60% off $4.99 ($2.00) at B & H.
    Also got:

Jeff Beck - Truth w/8 bonus tracks
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk 3 disc set
Very Best of Hall & Oates (Never bought anything from these guys, I need "Sara Smile")
McCartney - Ram (2 disc version, never could justify paying for just the bonus disc before)
Sly & the Family Stone - A Whole New Thing
The Who - Live at Fillmore East 1968

Total was ~$55.00 for the 11 discs. My thanks to all on the message board for making me aware of the sale. We get the B&H email ads, but they did not seem to be advertising this.
