I realize that. The point is that it obviously meant a lot to Ringo to play drums on the recordings which makes it curious that he didn’t re-record them upon his return.

Looking at Sgt Peppers I expect that the songs will be in recordings order on disc 4 and 5, and if relevant 2-3 versions might be used while some songs simply don 't have an alternate. And that full 150 minutes.

I hope it's south of $200, but the pessimist in me says MSRP $239.99.

Maybe he was okay with it being a band mate on drums as opposed to session player.

    What'd I'd like:

2 Discs with Remixes (including the pre-album songs)
    1 Disc - Demos
    3 Discs 1968 sessions

    Fill those discs out!

    For the vinyl release:
Remix (2LP) + EP (remixed pre album songs)

    Standalone Demos LP

Any chance we see a stand-alone Esher Demos on Vinyl released? Maybe for Record Store Day? A color vinyl release that isn't white would be rad, like granny smith apple green.

Also maybe a 12" remixed Hey Jude EP?

    side A
    1. Hey Jude
    2. The Inner Light

    side B
    3. Revolution
    4. Lady Madonna

IIRC, Mike Carrera said that only the original mono would be included, and on the Blu-ray. I see 2 CDs for the remix, one for the Esher demos, 2 or 3 for outtakes and the Blu-ray with Hi-res, 5.1, mono and video content. No DVD this time, according to our dear insiders.

I'm no mathematician, but just because a song is a "C" (therefore "average"), that doesn't mean it falls exactly in the middle of all 300 songs, quality-wise. Depending on how you're scoring, perhaps only 10% of all Beatles tracks are "C" or lower, so a "C" for "Don't Pass Me By" could still be very close to the bottom of the list.

Not really a problem if the old stereo mix misses. 95 % of the people buying this box will own it anyway. And it is flat enough to put it in the box.

Ugh. This may be the reason I go and get a Blu-Ray now if there is enough footage content to make it worthwhile.

If they ever, ever, ever were to make a complete sessions package available (ala Dylan), this would be the album best suited for it. Even if it was an online only deal, it'd be a nice little surprise to ring in the New Year with.

Not all of Capitol Congress’ highlights came courtesy of newcomers. Bruce Resnikoff, president and CEO of Universal catalog division UMe, introduced a lengthy video showcasing a host of upcoming CMG reissues, including a 50th anniversary edition of The Beatles’ White Album remixed by George Martin's son Giles, a “lost” Glen Campbell album featuring a duet with Elvis Presley, and multiple vinyl reissues celebrating the 60th and 80th anniversaries of Motown and Blue Note Records, respectively. Also coming on the Motown front is Hitsville: The Making of Motown, a documentary featuring never-before-seen footage from label founder Berry Gordy’s private archives.

It will make more sense for Let it Be. A lot of material for that album is recorded "live " without too much studio tricks, downmixing, backward tapes etc

Don't Pass Me By... yeah, for me it's the worst song on the album and is the only one I struggle to get through when listening to the whole thing. EDIT *User Autumn Daze removed the embarrassing misinformation regarding the tracks Anthology version*

On the news that the 50th anniversary was confirmed finally, well that's rocketed the excitement level up to 11! So looking forward to the full announcement!!

True. I just see the White Album as having the most enjoyable experience of hearing how the songs developed in the studio. I can dig into the Get Back sessions but usually get tired out after the 52nd run-through of "Don't Let Me Down."

You're thinking of "If You Got Trouble" from 1965.
