A case of if you don't get it, it's sold out..,regret dilemma. Have the DCC gold RRS myself. Just saying content aside it's more attractive looking box than Pepper/WA 50ths. Perhaps ask your Aunty for it as a Christmas present.
The answer I would imagine is no. Believe this will be a one step 45 rpm 2 LP affair. Session takes /new mix cd box
Hey, the ALBUM has everything too.. so only appropriate that a thread about it is sprawling as well, yeah?
Yellow Submarine World Gala Premiere, London Pavilion, 17th July, 1968 "Cry Baby Cry" recorded on the days either side of the film premiere, also "Helter Skelter" is begun the next day. [This was the day after Geoff Emerick quit the sessions] Cry Baby Cry (Remastered 2009)
Here's my very simplistic take on the white album and Sgt. Pepper remix boxes. I own the stereo and mono boxes. They are the foundation of what we all grew up on back in the day. I am grateful to have the both of them. They are the ground zero from which the sound of The Beatles are to be considered. I am also very grateful for the Sgt. Pepper remix box and the upcoming white album remix box. The latter two boxes are giving us a new perspective and a way of hearing things differently. Music, such as that from The Beatles, is of such great importance to me. I welcome these remixes into my life. They make me appreciate their artistic process all that much more. It's just a different perspective. It's not the definitive word on these masterpieces. We need to accept them for the spirit of fun from which they were curated.
I went to that cinema ( one of my London escapades) in 1980 to see The Great Rock & Roll Swindle..the cinema was in decay, bit of a fleapit.
i will be only getting it for the Blu-Ray - otherwise I would probably just wait for the Hi-Rez downloads.
Ha! Yellow Submarine prop mini sub, looks like a giant Corgie toy. McCartney turns up with Twiggy.( or Jane Asher in flapper mode)
Really busy next 8 weeks what with big box cd /Lp extravaganzas coming from everywhere, not just Beatles. Have to stay focused.
Looks like Paul was playing gooseberry, arriving with John & Yoko. The next day, after finishing the recording for "Cry Baby Cry":
I think you must mean 'Most people on this forum' not the listening public in general. Otherwise I agree.
Yes of course but, if you are sighted, you see an array of musicians from left to right and, for myself at least, that is how I visualise it when I listen to a recording of a group.
