It's kind of a strange list. I don't know anyone who thinks Axel F is by Herbie Hancock, and I would have thought the infamous "Neil Young - Horse with No Name" would have made the list. It was the first one I thought of when I saw the title.

They left out the Carole King classic "I Saw the Light."

I guess this is "most embarrassing confessions" time.

I bought a copy of McCartney's Flowers In The Dirt because I heard this song on the radio, and thought it was the best thing he'd done in a long time. Turned out to be this song by The Rembrandts:

    Yeah, I know...

And where's Paul McCartney's "Alone Again (Naturally)"?

Unless I've completely lost it, some years back there was a hit song whose singer sounded almost exactly like Stevie Wonder. But for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

#7 perhaps could've been America's "Horse With No Name" mistaken to be Neil Young.

When I was little, I thought Aqualung was Black Sabbath. That riff is pretty heavy. :)

Not sure. Is there any particular song you think I should look up?

    Virtual Insanity

When I first heard Maroon 5 I thought Frankie Valle was making a comeback.

One of my friends was convinced "American Woman" was performed by CCR.

No, that's not it. The singer I'm thinking of sounds a lot more like Stevie.

I'm telling you, I might be losing it.

Until I learned better, I thought "Temptation Eyes" was by The Guess Who.

At one time, my sister thought The Hollies "Long Cool Woman" was CCR...

What about Mud's "Lonely This Christmas" being perpetually mistaken as an Elvis song?

Les Gray used his Elvis voice more than once after that!

"Life Is A Highway" is not by Tom Petty - it's Tom Cochrane.

They left out The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down by Paper Lace, as well as Where You Hiding When the Storm Broke by the Clash and Rat Trap by Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and Hey Lord, Don't Ask Me Questions by Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. Then there's Blowin' in the Wind by Donovan and of course Tax Man by the Jam, not to mention Streets of London by Bob Dylan and Lay Lady Lay by the Eagles.
