There is a song I heard years ago. I'm trying to find out what it is. I don't think it's very well known.

I would describe it as dramatic soul ballad (or deep soul), with a slow tempo, probably made in the mid or late 1960s. It's a girl vocal, not unlike Laura Nyro. It's orchestrated, not unlike the Ad Libs song below at .022 (which incidentally was arranged by Van McCoy)

The only part of the song's lyrics I remember is where the orchestration comes in, in a dramatic fashion and the vocals are something like 'Take me in your arms and, Rock Me, Rock Me, Rock Me' This last bit resolves on a minor chord and goes quieter after the build up.

However the song is not 'Take me in your Arms and love me' (Gladys Knight), Rock me Baby (George McCrae), or Take me in your Arms, Rock me a little while (Doobie Brothers, Kim Weston).

Sorry there's not much to go on but I thought I'd give it a try.
