I have original Matsushita 1963 era 6BM8 tubes. They still have good emissions, but at least 1/2 used up. I bought NOS AWA Thorn 6BM8s. They are not Matsushita brand, but are Japanese. Likely Hitachi or Toshiba. Unfortunately, they do not sound as good as the Matsushita 6BM8. I cannot find four NOS Matsushita. I can find NOS matching Mullard & Philips 6BM8. Perhaps other brands too. I do not want short plate USA manufactured 6BM8s such as RCA or Sylvania. What would you recommend?.

We have excellent NOS Amperex Holland, Siemens Germany, and Mullard UK made tubes. Some of these were made for RCA and GE. MATCHED PAIRS ARE $60.00 PER PAIR.

I plan to order from Brent Jessee. I just need a recommendation of what brand sounds good.

Brent Jessee only had singles of various brands, About 10 tubes in stock. In fact, searching everywhere only Tube Depot had four match Mullard & I do not want Mullard as they are too syrupy sounding. Looks like ebay is it when a set comes up. I better buy a few quads for spares.

Yes, there are some Tungsram & Tesla around, but do not want to try them. Hundreds of Svetlana & ElectroHarmonix around too. My focus is on Western European tubes.

ebay provided all in NOS 4x Philips Miniwatt, 4x Siemens, 2x Amperex & 2x Mullard 6BM8 tonight. I can listen to the Mullard & Amperex in one channel and hear if I like the tubes sonics & find another pair.
