Thanks for posting these. A number of pics here show John signing autographs. One of my all-time regrets is that I never took the time to try and meet John, as I was close enough to NYC. But I was just a teenager at the time he died, and not yet accustomed to traveling to the city. :(

Amazing! So many I've never seen.

Lots taken right outside the Dakota, right at the spot. Heartbreaking.

I got emotiomal viewing those great candid photos, thanks for posting. One can only imagine what John would have done if he wasn't murdered.

Fans photos have such a great charm about them. I especially like the pictures taken in Philadelphia. John actually appeared on channel 6 TV that day and did the weather on the news. I think he came into town to help Larry Kane with some charity work. That was a great day in 1975.

was Starshyne notified that these folks were going to lift eighty photos from her blog and repost them for clickbait? she has exclusive permission to publish some of her fan photos; I wonder if any of these are from that group.

These photos turn John Lennon the immortal musical genius into just another dude who lives in the city. I honestly wouldn't recognize him without his circular colored spectacles. His taste in fashion is a little blah... Lol

Wow. Some beautiful shots in there. I've seen manybe 8, 10 of them before...so 90% of them were new to me.

some cool shots, but a reminder of what a bubble the Beatles lived in, even well after the breakup. half of those, it's like "poor John..."

Very interesting - especially excited to see that there's one near the end, with John in a white/cream jacket and blue-patterned shirt, that looks like it could be late 1970. There are so few pictures of John that year, after his Top Of The Pops performances in February - the period between March '70 and March '71 is basically John's "lost" year, so far as photos/public appearances are concerned.

John's BBC interview quote from December 6, 1980:
"People might ask for an autograph, but they don't bug you".

Great shots. I especially like the one from 1979-80 where John is Not wearing his glasses. So very few pix of John without his glasses.

Photos such as these are quite revealing from a 2015 perspective... A picture at that time was a more "valuable" item only seen by a select few.

Between 1970 and 1980, one had to plan and go out of his/her way to carry a camera around... There were probably a lot of folks who ran into Lennon around NYC at that time but surely had no bulky camera about their person to take a snap...

Compare to now in which one can't butter a bagel without taking a picture of it and sending it to 1,584 folks two seconds after.

A close examination of John in the pics shows a tortured soul.
Paul and George seemed to have come out of the Beatles in pretty good shape.
I think Ringo left with a fair amount of scars as well.
    We miss you John!!

There are a couple in there where I wouldn't have recognized him on the street. Cool pics.
