I know this has been discussed in older closed threads, however, it would be nice to have a new "complete" list of vinyl mastering engineers (with their appropriate initials in the dead wax). Let's start with this list and then make changes:

    http://www.discogs.com/groups/topic/168918

First of all, neither Steve Hoffman NOR Kevin Gray are listed in this discogs page, so I will add them to our list:

    Steve - SH
    Kevin - KPG

I just picked up a copy of the RSD Velvet Underground "LOADED" Pink vinyl pressing and noticed JA on one side and MARIA on the other - does anyone know who did this pressing?

I don't want to reinvent the wheel, but I think it is time (now that vinyl is being pressed more than in recent years) to create a new comprehensive list. Thoughts?

Great! Thanks man, was looking for this! :)

Those abbreviated initals sometimes get a little too 'secret agent-ish'..
Only, SH is not Steve Hoffman on that link.. :)

:D (Show me your RL version of LZII) (Show me your Robert Ludwig version of Led Zeppeling II) :D

Exactly! Will the REAL Steve Hoffman PLEASE stand up? lol

It is a place to start. I would love to see us expand this thread...any takers?

Don't forget, amongst the mastering engineer community, there's also another SH = Steve Hall.

Yes, that Steve (Hall) is stated in the linked list.

But, I don't know a lot of engineers by heart. Vinylsoul, maybe copy that list and let everybody add to that?
