A controversial opinion on Springsteen

I half-way agree--USA is one, THE RIVER is the other.

Not even one listen. I did hear a song here and there, and they were OK, but I heard nothing that made me want to buy his music (unlike in the old days). Even on the Philadelphia soundtrack, I thought Neil Young's song blew Bruce's away.

For me this happens with every artist, btw -- not just Bruce. This is what upsets me about Sleater-Kinney's 10-year hiatus -- the great music they might have made during that time, compared to what they're likely to put out now.
