This sounds great — "Sharon couldn't phone it in."

Indeed. I'm a puddle of tears right now. God, I miss that lady.
Great to see Charles Bradley in there, too.

Cover looks like a cheesy K-Tel as-seen-on-tv release.

    I love it!

THE best live performer I've ever seen. The new song sounds really good. Looking forward to the cd.

None of their album covers have been all that great, to be honest -- but it works for what their music was all about!

Agreed, but I think this is the best imitation of the period amongst all the covers.

Yep, SJ's covers were all about that retro (sometimes borderline cheesy) vibe.
The only one I really didn't care for was Give the people what they want. Bad photo & waaay too busy design.

Can’t wat for this. Still sad she’s gone, both videos are very bittersweet.

love the covers - it's an intentional look they're going for and it works for me.

Can't wait. Saw her right after the cancer, she was awesome. What a band to. They really cop the past but are still now. Lots of people try this in lots of styles it's hardly ever successful. But, they did. She is so great. I listen to Give The People on headphones and man she just stands out. Great great voice and singing. RIP Sharon... Rock on.......

Kicking myself for not making the effort to see either of these legends when I had the chance. This LP is an insta-buy, obviously.

Love the album, played it twice today. So much better than I expected.

Dap Kings on Fallon tonight for a tribute to Sharon.

What a shame this thread isn't getting more traffic, Sharon left us with a fantastic record! She will be missed.

Well the album has just come out. Got my Amazon Rip yesterday and had one play and it sounds good. Physical release delayed a week though.
