God, I loved that show when I was a kid.

Remember the toy U.N.C.L.E. briefcase that shot bullets out of the side? It also had a trick knife you could whip out and stab someone with. Geez, can't imagine why they don't sell that stuff anymore...

Hey Steve, I still like it NOW!! I have a 2 Laserdisk set made from ther 35mm masters and it looks awesome.

Little side note.......around a year ago, I ran into (i mean, REALLY ran into) Robert Vaugn on 55th street. i was looking at some girl, and ran right into him. He was pretty cool, especially when i said "Open Channel D" to him.

I mentioned that briefcase to a friend 'cause I had one(wish I still did) and he'd never came across it, though he did have what he described as a "lame" Napoleon Solo action figure.

I loved that show too. I even had (and still do) the series of books they did from it.

I had the briefcase, and the Ilya action figure. I used to have one of the badges that came with the briefcase, but that's been lost to the years also. (Number 2 was Ilya K., Napoleon Soo =11) I can remember playing "U.N.C.L.E" with my friends. I had to use the briefcase, of course, and wear a black turtleneck like Ilya, even on the hot summer days! I still have my Viewmaster reels!

    I had this!!

It was my single sample of "Mr. Solo" (local name for TMHFUNCLE) in color until the long episodes, shown here in movie houses.

The soundtrack to the TV series is somewhere at my mother's.

Mikey. What are you doing with a thread title like this and then the nonsense you have here. You just took 5 years off of my life. When I get a hold of you at HE2005 we are going to have a serious talk. You do not joke about the Beatles :D

    What a night ...

Fridays. I remember coming home from school and just waiting for 7:00 so we could watch the kids shows of which I was a 7 year old.

Always Tarzan first unless it was a repeat, if that happened, the Green Hornet then Time Tunnel would do and after those finished, the GREAT Man From U.N.C.L.E would come on. I didn't understand any of it but it was sure good at the time.

AWESOME! That was Must See TV.

Not only that, but all day after school on Thursday and Friday I went around in my black Batcape and yellow Batbelt all jazzed up after the super Wednesday/Thursday batventures.

My parents took pictures of me with those old Polaroids and man was I cool.

So did I, the theme song was great. I learned to play it (well, the bass line) on the piano when I was a kid.
I remember that, I had one. Also had a similar espionage toy called "Secret Sam." Didn't have the knife, but it did have a real camera that took pictures while still inside the briefcase.
