    Is that new?

    From wikipedia:

Gilmour has stated in interviews that he does not believe in an afterlife and that he is an atheist.

    Jimmy Webb (apparently).

Glen Campbell (kept losing God, then finding Him/Her again).

Danny Thompson - Islam. Jimmy Cliff also converted to Islam but seems to have given up on religion for the moment.

I guess that means you won't hear "Animal (I F*** Like a Beast)" at his gigs anymore.

Obvious thing everyone seems to know: No discussions about religion itself, positive or negative.

Less obvious thing everyone should still know: No "meta" discussions about whether a thread violates a forum rule or not. Contact a moderator or report a post if that's what you want to debate. We live in that deathly dull world, but there is no reason to subject the rest of the forum membership to it.

Jeremy Spenser joined the Children of God cult. Peter Green also converted from Judaism to some form of messianic Christianity during his breakdown.

One of the former James Gang members is a member of some "Christian" group with a nasty misogynistic streak. Can't remember who, though.

Edit: Not sure if that was Glen Schwartz, who was actually in Pacific Gas and Electric longer than he was in James Gang.

...and isn’t anymore. He divorced his wife and his ministry is no more. He’s back in music now.

Perhaps that's Glenn Schwartz, who was apparently in something called the All Saved Freak Band, which grew out of some commune. I just found it through Google, I've never heard of them before.

Sam the Sham became a minister, with a prison ministry, if I recall correctly. Not sure if he still does the oldies circuit as well.

Charlie Daniels either dropped or changed a lot of his songs after he became "born again." He didn't stop gigging, though. He's one of those artists that I would have enjoyed seeing before they found religion, but wouldn't go to now if it was free.
