A Thing Called "Music"

In one sentence, how would you sum up the music of 2021?

I would do so as follows:

Artists don't exist. Machines have taken over. Everyone we used to listen to is leaving the planet to go somewhere else.

 

The best it’s ever been.

 

Best described after is has happened.

 

Plagues are bad for business, but also so is the business

An absolute travesty. Although, nothing can compare to 2020, and there are some diamonds in the rough.

I have access to all sorts of things, yet most platforms are algorithm dependent and still not reliable with their suggestions. I do miss 1970's FM radio. I can always just play records though.

 

In one sentence, and by “one” I mean “three”, describe some weird axe to grind against current popular music.

 

Just like every other year. It's not going anywhere, and it won't be quite like any other year.

 

Alice Cooper was interviewed on UK radio over the weekend. He said that every musician he knows has been living in the studio because of the pandemic and so there will be a flood of new music over the next year or so. He has just released an album Detroit Stories and the next one is already well on its way.

 

2000’s - 2021? Alright, let’s give it a shot.

Metal has been thriving, but everything else is drugs, guns, and money.

 

Another slow day at SHF I see.

Rap has become a robo mumble landscape. Only Kendrick Lamar can save us with his newest album. If he loses, rap is done for.
Pop is 100% robots.
Rock has been killed except for a few humans who have formed "indie groups." These indie groups have even been invaded by "industry plants"
No one gives a **** about country.

 

Judging from all reports, on all fronts, on all media, it's going to be unprecedented...

 

Too early to tell.

 

We are only 60/365 of the way through 2021, seems way too early to tell.

 

I always hope for the best...
