A thread for fans of "The West Wing", here are some great clips...

I fell in love with this show from Day One, watching it religiously every week until its final episode climaxing in the end of the Bartlett Administration and the beginning of his successor's...there never was before and never will be another show quite like it. I'm grateful to have the entire series' DVD collection in my library and return to it regularly to reinvigorate myself in their examples of humanity striving to be at its very best...Aaron Sorkin's creative child was the television equivalent of the Mozart prodigy in music...I miss its continued existence on network TV, but am grateful that it existed and flourished for seven glorious years...

 

Only if they can get Mrs. Landingham to sign on for it. ONLY.

Brilliant show. Wish I had the complete box, but it's rather pricey over here.

 

Would love to send this to the U.S. House Of Representatives right now...

 

Was able to pick up DVDs of the entire series yesterday for a decent price at the Goodwill. Probably my favorite network TV series ever. Can't wait to watch it all again.

 

My local library has the whole series-I've been checking them out in drips and drabs.

 

Been rewatching the series on Netflix. Reminded me what a great series this was.

 

I've re-watched it last year....and another re-watch may be coming in the foreseeable future! Keeping the quality high during all these series is a great accomplishment. And the world needs witty and learned presidents and heads of state!

During the time West Wing was on NBC, I occasionally saw bumper stickers on LA cars that said "I Voted for President Bartlett." Man, I wish I could vote for a guy like that.

 

Thanks DLant! Great show. Different type of shows but I would put Breaking Bad and Hannibal in the top tier with The West Wing. Excellent at all stages top to bottom.
