I just saw this. I'm down for the reboot especially if John & Laurie are on board. Many people, like myself, believe she was more the focal point of the 2018 show anyway.

She was very good in the new episodes, but without Roseanne it will be just another sitcom.

But potentially a very good sitcom. Definitely a "wait and see" for me.

I didn't see the reboot and lost interest in the original series after season...five (? -whenever it was that they opened The Lunch Box), but I'd give this a shot. Call it The Connors - Roseanne suffers a fatal accident when a car hits her while she is crossing the street - the driver fell asleep while on Ambien.:crazy::evil:

Guarantee it won't keep any more than 1/4 of the audience.

    I hope it happens.
Roseanne was my least favorite main character this season, and it has nothing to do with politics.
I want to see what happens to Becky and Darlene.

It can be like the Charlie Sheen remake 2 & 1/2 men show. (without Charlie) now, without Roseanne.

Bring in Sandy Duncan and change the name to the Conner Family.

p.s. Sara Gilbert is boring and can't carry a show.

Dan could remarry someone young to take her place like Jay Pritchett and Gloria Pritchett.

It’s kind of bizarre they’re desperate to continue a show that until three months ago had been off the air for twenty years.

Sounds great to me. She may not be the best actor on the show, but I think she's the most natural and unforced, and her interaction with Lecy flowed real well. Laurie is always great as Jackie, but John and Roseanne's acting just seemed a little tired to me.

Nah. Roseanne was much more an ensemble show that C&TM. I'd say it's more analogous to Cheers without Shelley Long. If it's well-written it could work.

To be honest, the surprise for me was Lecy Goranson. She seemed to be having a lot of fun, but she also brought some vulnerability and a touch of sadness to Becky which was fully believable considering she lost her husband and was floundering in her 40s.

While Darlene was my favourite character when Roseanne originally aired, Gilbert has tried to hard to make her too nice. She seems more of a life coach than Jackie. Darlene is much more interesting when she tosses off one of her snarky jokes.

If they are going to bring it back, they should focus it more on Becky and Darlene. Perhaps that is to much like DJ and Stephanie on Fuller House, but the Becky and Darlene relationship was always one of Roseanne's strongest dynamics.
