This was noted on the UHQR thread but it's probably better in its own thread.

Acoustic Sounds has announced new SACDS in its new catalogue for 2018 of the following titles:

The Jim Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced? and Axis: Bold As Love (US versions, Mono and Stereo mixes)

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here (stereo and 5.1 surround mixes)

I can't say the world really needs new SACDs for the Pink Floyd titles but it's possible they could be better. Super excited for the Hendrix releases though!

If the Floyd titles are BRAND NEW STATE OF THE ART MASTERINGS incl. original Quadraphonic mixes, I'm sold

If they're just a copy/paste job from the previous SACD, then I'll pass

So, Bernie Grundman mastering Hendrix is a good thing? I only have the '90s CD masterings. Should I expect a much better sound on these new SACDs?

Sign me up for all of them. While I would say I am set on the Floyd, buying with the hopes it leads to SACD s of Animals, Meddle, The Wall And more gives me hope.

The Hendrix titles are auto buys. I have the Experience Hendrix vinyl reissues, and they are good. But my digital rig outclasses my analog rig, so.....

I wonder if the Dark Side of the Moon SACD will be a copy of the Blu-Ray in the recent box set? By all accounts that is supposedly better than the older SACD??

I'm in for the Hendrix (and excited for them). I'm really, really happy with my existing WYWH and DSOTM SACDs. I have no interest in quad mixes.

Hendrix...about damn time. Not to be negative, but see both Floyds as pointless. Must be continued experiment in seeing how often people will rebuy certain titles.

IMO the stereo layer is the best version ever save for a few tape dropouts

Someone who owns the AP of People, Hell And Angels should be able to tell us.

Actually that one isn't great (more in a sec) but I don't completely blame Bernie for that. The SACD appears to be more dynamic than the standard CD of People, Hell and Angels, but in the end, it just looks like they reduced the amplitude of the files from the standard CD. I took shots of the waveforms for "Earth Blues" and the left channel in particular appears to have had a haircut. I remember thinking that I was going to be shocked if they went in and re-mastered People, Hell and Angels for the SACD and it looks like they didn't. The likely handed AP the digital files from 2013 to convert to DSD. For the record, P,H&A was the last multi format title for Experience Hendrix mastered by George Marino. Starting in 2014, Mr. Grudman started handling the mastering for the mainstream releases. The "Machine Gun" SACD is actually more dynamic than the standard CD as I suspect they had decided on making an SACD out of that title before overall production began (unlike P,H&A).
