Actress Elizabeth Pena passes away at 55

Of wasn't just me who thought she was way hot in Jacob's Ladder, right? I mean that role just oozed with sex.

 

If you can find the episode of 'Dream On' that she was in, it fairly smolders.

Cause of death has been listed as cirrhosis of the liver, caused by alcohol abuse.

 

I got to work with Elizabeth about 12 years ago on a small indie called Tortilla Soup, co-starring Hector Elizondo, and she was very nice and did a great job in the film. All the performances in the film were terrific. The only person who was a tad difficult was Raquel Welch, but I think she was intimidated by the level of actors she had to work with.

So sad she had a drinking problem. I know all too well the struggle as it has, and had, a few family members in its grip.

She was a pretty serious Hollywood crush of mine for a while.

 

I just saw this thread, somehow missed the news that she died. She was a beauty and a great actress. I also had a crush on her when I was growing up. So sad, such a shame.

My wife's cousin died of liver failure due to alcoholism a few months ago. He was only 31. It's a sad, terrible and lonely illness. Heartbreaking. Rest her soul.
