    Fantastic news Steve!!

  2. Nice!

A miniature foldout Glaser print would be a very cool addition, but feasibility would probably be all on Milton.

Do you know if Marshall has checked into it?

That's an interesting question. There have been three remixes of the stereo "Blonde on Blonde" on various CDs over the years (and a couple variant edits as well, to boot), but the original stereo mix has never had an official CD release. I guess I'd always assumed the BOB tracks on GH were derived from the one of the remixes, but I've never investigated the issue before.

Be interesting to see if the upcoming Blonde on Blonde MFSL SACD actually uses the original stereo mix (which is itself open to interpretation, as, yes, there are multiple vintage mixes of the stereo...).

Paging Roger Ford... (really, the only resource to make sense of the confounding array of vintage and modern Blonde on Blonde mixes). http://www.rdf.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Blonde.htm

Question: Is there any difference between the stereo 45 mixes of these songs and the stereo LP versions? I guess from Steve's writeup that he'll be using the LP mixes.

He did, not going to happen. We barely got to use the "STEREO 360" logo on the cover. We might have the poster art in the booklet. "Second use rights" are such a pain.

Looking forward to it. Would love to hear you remaster Time out of Mind as that was one of the only titles Columbia did not remaster that I think is a classic.

Yeah, the fact that there are multiple original(ish) mixes is what I was getting at.

"Adventures In Mastering: "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits" 360 Stereo Gold CD from AF.."

    What stereo 45 mixes?

Great news, this is the first Dylan album that I bought on vinyl back in the day. With the poster of course.

I think this is how most comps should be even though it goes against what most expect.

Oh great. Another AF Gold disc from the original analog master tapes of some washed up, boring 60s act that couldn't hit a high note if he tried. Can't we have some more 80s pseudo-metal or, even better, something more recent that was digitally recorded and has an unrescueable mix?

Just kidding! ;) I'm really looking forward to this one. I just wanted to be the first to complain...
