Would a decent Pioneer 45A player do the job as a cd transport? It will be connected to a Schiit Bifrost Multibit with a digital cable. The player works well. On its own it plays CD, SACD, DVD-A, etc. I never really liked its sound but it shouldn’t matter when run through a DAC. All things considered, will this player do the job as a transport? Thanks for your help.

It'll do the job but how it will sound is another thing - physical stability is a factor when playing a CD. Why not just give it a go? You never know.
