Pretty elaborate for a joke.

My wife likes the BEP song, but what dumb lyrics. But she views it like "I'm too sexy", a fun song that is not meant to be taken seriously. But it is catchy as hell & has a great beat.

 

Way to go, Alanis! Very clever.

Still, my favorite weird 'My Humps' reference is in The Office everytime Michael's cell phone rings.

Sorry, she just doesn't have the lumps and humps for this. That's also why it works.

I haven't laughed this hard at a song since Ben Folds Five redid "B****es Ain't S***t!".

 

Clever how what's being sung is the exact opposite of what is being shown. The video is kind of neat to watch with the sound turned down. I could just imagine a snoop-dog song overdubbed to it.

Well, I made it through about a minute of the video. I thinkI'll just leave it at that.

 

It was just Ben Folds, post-Five, and yes, it was a pearler. His cover versions are always worth hearing. I remember seeking out the original Flaming Lips version of 'She Don't Use Jelly' after hearing the Ben Folds Five cover and being distinctly underwhelmed.

 

I applaud Alanis for doing the video.
