He did three for that market. FANDANGO and BRAVIO (BULLISH) were identical music-wise. Then there was NOCHE DE AMOR, a Latin version of BLOW YOUR OWN HORN that had two tracks different from the standard version. Added were "Sueño Precolombino" and "Noche de Amor". Removed were "Blow Your Own Horn" and "The Midnight Tango".

Many fans think the Latin version of the album flows better.

Nice work! Best rendering I think i've seen of this simple, yet difficult cover. It always seems that the most simplest ones are the hardest to work on.

I never liked that ATCO label. And, I always found it interesting that the company almost never used the same artwork for the LP and 45 on both the Atlantic or ATCO labels until the late 70s. However, the Cotillion labels were consistent between the LPs and 45s. I know i'm wandering, but for a small time in 1979 and 1980, Atlantic inconsistently used the same label for both the LPs and 45s, and it was one they used way back in the 40s and 50s.

Ha! Thanks. This one was hard because it was just pressed funny and off-balance. The front wasn't too difficult in this regard but the back was a bear. Some parts were off-balance and some weren't. Go figure. The sleeves were nightmarish simply because of degradation.

The one they used in the 80's was far cooler. Not a fan of this one at all.

No A&M logo on the cover? That's around the time the company started phasing that out. And, that custom label is so cool that I would probably buy a used copy just for that.

Herb Alpert never stopped recording, but there is so much music that slipped by the public.

Right?? Those labels were amazing. I think it's my absolute favorite A&M iteration. No, there was no A&M logo on the cover at all. I actually forgot I had the album. LOL! I saw it and then remembered the stuff on it. The polish on this record is hard to beat.

It was always on the back. We were talking about the front of it. It used to live on the front of every release and that stopped right around this time if I'm correct.

Sorry, guys. I didn't realize the site had gone off-line as I've been busy with other projects. Just noticed it and it'll be back in an hour or so.

I have had the worst time trying to renew the space for Vinylalbumcovers. I tried to do it but the renewal screen would freeze and I couldn't complete. I finally just did it. Sorry if you thought it was gone for good. That was never my intention.

I thought you'd given up on this project. Nice work on this cover. It also looks like you've resolved your smudge issue. I was seeing fingerprints and other things on some of your older covers, most notably "Off The Wall" by MJ.

No, I'll never do that. It was purely a time issue. Yeah, the scanner is completely different and has been for a while. I now use an Epson large-format scanner as opposed to the HP counterpart that required stitching pieces together.

I'd love to own one of those scanners, but they are way out of my price range. Last time I looked, they were around $2000!
