Thanks! Not sure why I didn't do it faster. Finding that poster reminded me to do it. I've got a single from it to knock out as well and I'll do that in a few minutes.

Good lord, I didn't even think Brian Wilson would have been on record, I don't have this in my collection :(

You're on a roll tonight, Ed! Do you take requests?

What I need in my collection of LP covers is a good rendering of:

    "Electrified Funk" - Wild Cherry
"A Woman Needs Love" - Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio
    "My Melody" - Deniece Williams
"That's What Friends Are For" - Johnny Mathis & Deniece Williams

I can't claim to have had this long. I stumbled onto this a couple of days ago. Excellent album design work!

I have one of them. I'm working on it now. If I can finish, it'll be up tonight. If not, no later than late tomorrow night.

This one's interesting because it is one of the very few record labels that have two label logos on them. The other ones I can think of is that first Jacksons album with both the Epic and Philadelphia International logos on it, and a Cheech & Chong label with both the Epic and Ode logos on it.

For this one (as I'm sure you saw), Reprise was marketing the record and Sire was just responsible for getting it recorded. With the Jacksons, Philly recorded it but Epic/CBS did everything else. Brian's is unusual in that the marketer got on the label. Kinda cool!

What happened to the colors? It looks washed out. Nothing like my cover. The labels are also washed out.

That's just what my copy looks like. The description below all the pics explains the labels (I didn't try to make them look different; that's how mine look). I've only seen the cover look as it does on the site.

I understand. It just looks like a bootleg copy, or that it sat under an ultraviolet lamp for a year. I just wish I could do high-quality scans without having to stich them. I have lots of great covers, just no good way of doing them.

I see what happened! I just found an original cover. It's totally different! LOL! It's supposed to be much more red. Wow! I'm gonna work with mine and try to fix. I can actually see the original color peeking through. I'd love to know what happened to mine. Give me some time and I'll try to restore it.

The intended color is so far from what I have that I'm going to take it down. The sleeves are decent but that's really about it. Sorry about that!

For the record, I get the stitch-hating thing. I'm not a fan either. I have a scanner that's large enough so I don't have to stitch anymore.

Took a shot at fixing it and it's just too far gone. Fixes wouldn't look convincing. I'll track another one down (shouldn't be too hard) and try again. I'm due for another rekkid store trip tomorrow anyway... ;)

I hit the rekkid store tonight...and came up empty on all of @Grant 's requests...LOL! This place used to have a much better selection but now, it's pretty poor. The R&B section is just laughable. It used to take a up a whole side with "artist"dividers. Now, it gets about as much respect as it does on these forums. LOL! Just alphabet dividers and about 3 rows of stuff no one cares about. Oh well...

I have consolation prizes coming. Hang tight...

Some people on this forum think I play the "race card", but i'm not. I'm just telling it like it is.

Good news. I found another copy of the Raydio record. Will add it when it gets here.
