Actually, the United Artists US label used this font a lot, I'm sure there are other examples...

That Pat Cooper cover was the first one I thought of, for some reason. :edthumbs:
Maybe the designer thought that using Cooper Black was appropriate! :tiphat:

I'm sure that happens more often than people realize... How many logos incorporate the typeface if the company's name is the same as that typeface?

The end credits to the good old UK WW2 TV series Dad's Army use the Cooper Black font!

The Beach Boys used it more than enough I suppose.
I could be wrong with the 2o Golden Greats cover though. The letter "B" for example looks bit different.

and a variant cover of Beach Boys Classics, renamed California Feelin'

In some ways I think the font is "theirs". We should rename it to 'Beach Boys Black'.^^

    I didn't realise this was a 'thing'...
Used it twice on two releases myself and a friend put out... [IMG]

I almost feel bad that I hadn't used a more original font after seeing the posts on this thread!

Maybe. It was a parody of the Doyle Dane Bernbach Levy's ads (also in Cooper)[IMG]
