Yes, the rimming cover. Perhaps before the term itself came about.

There are a lot of haters of Dylan's 'Self Portrait'. I have always liked it a little. This album cover is one of the worst for an original album by a major artist IMHO. It kind of says 'Oh well. Let's just get the cover thing out of the way.'

The back cover of Lou Reed's Transformer is pretty bad. I've considered seeking out one of the handful of reissues which doesn't depict an individual with something stuffed down his pants.

Always at the top of the list in threads like this.Ronnie was a bit of a headstrong so & so according to legend so,if the record company tried to push this cover upon him and he did not approve of it he would have told them where to go i'm sure.

Nothing says "I can't be bothered" as much as this:

Sadly, with the demise of physical media, cover artwork is really suffering. Which is not to say bad covers haven't always existed - but how does a major act end up with this?

Mind you this is bit of Krautrock I own:

And this came in the mail today:

Another album cover I like and prefer over the (UK/non US editions) is the US cover for Deep Purple - Shades Of Deep Purple. It fits the title better as well:

They had two or three hits that you probably like: "Love Takes Time", "Still The One", and "Dance With Me", all from the 70s.

She's in the men's room, desperately trying to wipe her phone number off of a stall. She knows she only has a few seconds before someone walks in so she's just grabbed some wet toilet paper to do the job. Nevertheless someone's walked in on her and she got so startled that she fell in the urinal.

Don't understand why this cover is confusing, I understood it at first glance back in '78 or '79 or whenever it appeared.

I thought you guys were messing with me but I checked out the songs...I didn't realize "Still The One" was that "Still The One"

The original cover on the left was later briefly replaced by a slip-over cover on the right to promote the Driving Rain Tour, very reminiscent of the paste over cover of the Yesterday and Today album.

The US cover is more interesting but nothing saves that terrible photograph. That's the most pissed off band picture I've ever seen except for pictures where a band is trying to look pissed off. It looks like five kids were fighting and then they had to stop in the middle to take a photo.
