I was about to pick this up in the dollar bin, but I only wanted the title track, as Johnny Thunders rips out a solo on it. Turns out the song No Brakes is on another album.

I like Hens March and Peggys Pub instrumentals, but yes Rosie is a one song album

Duran Duran's Paper Gods is probably my least favourite album by an artist I love.. hate it. But the title track is fantastic.

I have a soft spot for "The Outsiders" myself.

It is the only way you can get Good Vibrations on Pet Sounds.

I too like that album a lot. Half the songs are really good, towering on top "Heart of Gold" and "Come Dancing". The only stinker IMO is Dave's "Bernadette"

This. Hate "Rattle and Hum", but good Lord, "Angel of Harlem" just kills.

Yeah, I even like some of the goofier songs like "Labour Of Love", where Ray equates marriage with a someone who has had a 2 headed transplant. Good call on "Bernadette", my least favorite song by Dave.

I was tempted to nominate Hard Nose the Highway and "Warm Love," but it seems like that album has more fans now than it used to.

My first thought was Jackson Browne's "Hold Out" (1980). After a great run ..(Jackson Browne, For Everyman (my fave), Late For the Sky, The Pretender, and Running on Empty)....Hold Out would be his only number one LP.

Call it a Loan, and That Girl Could Sing were on it.

After a couple of more stumbles (Lawyers in Love....had Tender is the Night......and Lives in the Balance ...had In the Shape of a Heart)....he finally (IMO) regained traction with World in Motion (1989) and I'm Alive. (1993)

  19. Not really one of their worst perhaps, but: IMHO Dr Feelgood by Motley Crue is pretty meh, but it does have one of their best songs, "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)". First time I heard it I figured it was a cover of a song from the '70s.

Actually love that song, a punk/pub rocker totally out of sync with the Kinks at that time. It was Ray's song though, not Dave's.
