What albums do you think that deserve to be out on SACD?

And why ain’t they been done yet?

    Example ;

    Five Leaves Left
    Ram
    Over-Nite Sensation
    Loaded
    Can’t Buy A Thrill

What would be your choice ?

"Monkey Island"- J Geils Band . If somebody is doing "The Morning After". "Monkey Island" is a better album. Also the 1994 remaster appears to be OOP

Always enjoy someone mentioning ' Monkey Island '. I rarely hear anything about it anywhere. Great album.

    Van Morrison's entire catalog.

Why haven't there been any Van Morrison SACDs? Well, I can't know for sure, but factors likely include A) The catalog is owned by various labels/record companies, B) The artist's relationship with record companies isn't always the best, and this contributes to issues in keeping albums in print on CD, vinyl, digital download, and streaming as it is, and C) SACD remains a niche market.

    Niche market?
Format has been out about 20 years.
Happy with just a stereo mix myself.

I don't know why there was no SACD as of yet, but most of their albums aren't even readily available on regular CDs or LPs as we speak. Sad state of things...:sigh:

Even with the big hullabaloo about The Beatles 50th Anniversary Abbey Road ..big box of goodies. I would have preferred a humble SACD myself.

I'm still wanting that Spirit "Clear" that was so cruelly ripped away from us.

It's a Beautiful Day s/t for sure ... Hal Willner's Mingus, Monk and Disney albums. The first Return to Forever. "Crown of Creation." Dwight Yoakam's "Buenas Noches." Joni Mitchell. "Snowflakes Are Dancing" (Tomita).

And of course the Beatles. Or at least the individual release of the Blu-rays.

Lots of stuff. Love the format when it's done up right.

Not the best album ever, but I was bitterly disappointed that the Intervention Records SACD of Burrito Deluxe by The Flying Burrito Brothers was cancelled. I know the why’s and whatnot for the cancellation, I just really wanted that one.

I’d like to see MoFi continue with Ry Cooder’s 70s catalog, but ain’t holding my breath for that to happen.

I also wish that there was an SACD of Feats Don’t Fail Me Now by Little Feat. Again, not super likely by 2019.
