I'll start this thread: A lot of people, myself included, assume that The Mason Williams Phonograph Record is all songs that have the feel of Classical Gas and in fact, a lot of the songs have that feel, but not all of them do. It is a very eclectic album and does feature some comedy, classical influences, folk influences, pop influences, country influences, rock influences, and many other influences. His singing will probably have to grow on you as his voice in general is average at best. She's Gone Away is one of my favorite vocal tracks on the album and his singing is great and "The Prince's Panties" is funny, IMO, but others will think the humor is not that great. People assume it is an all instrumental album which it isn't all instrumental, but the instrumentation is what draws people to much of the album right away.

Radiohead's Ok Computer is a modern day Pet Sounds.

    A very "emotional" album -

You either love it right away, or it slowly grows on you.

People who truly "hate" it are far and few between - not to mention questionable!
