  2. I noticed that "Raoul and The Kings of Spain" got some unkind reviews when it was released. I actually like it better than "Elemental". The songwriting is stellar, lyrics very meaningful.

Van Morrison - Too Long In Exile LP. This isn't regarded as one of his best by any means on this forum but I've always found it to be a great LP ever since I bought it when it first came out.

Pink Floyd's , Final Cut is regarded somewhat of a low point by many . For me , it's one of the very finest records ever made. That's not to say I play it too often , as it has an emotional cost to it.

Recently re-discovered the awesomeness of The Guess Who's So Long, Bannatyne thanks to Iconoclassic's recent re-repressing.

This has got to be my absolute favorite GW album, though I believe most GW fans would not say it is their best.

this is almost universally reviled by her fans as the worst album Aggie ever made. I happen to love it, warts, weirdness and wonkiness all. Some of it just so weird, for a pop album, that I cant fathom what the producers were thinking. Penny whistles, often out of tune or mixed way too loud backing vocals, notes a half a step out of her vocal range but they left it all in anyway.... all kinds of ?????? stuff.

To me, part of the charm.

Definitely. This album has some enjoyable songs which reminded me of Gene Watson's later recordings. More room noise and ballad-focused, which is a good thing for Alan. I suspect some listeners expected to the album to be rowdier.
