Many of Giger's designs in Alien were based on or adapted from his pre-existing works anyway.

An interesting thing also is that Giger was working on concepts like this earlier in the decade for Jodorowsky's Dune, which is a fascinating story in it's own right

    Jodorowsky's Dune - Wikipedia

And if you look at some of his unused concepts for that film it is obvious they influenced/were recycled for Alien.

Yes it's him - Google HR Giger 1969 artwork and look at images.

"a stupid non-scientific premise"? I guess I missed that part. Someone explain it to me.

Most obvious "twist" of all time near the end... saw it coming a mile away.

I had this as a Xmas gift a few years ago. As soon as it finished I stuck it on ebay

The worst film in the Alien saga by a country mile, I couldn't wait for it to end.

At this point with the series, I consider Alien, Alien: Isolation, and Aliens to be canon. All other Alien movies and video games I've written off as bad dreams.

Covenant was on tv some days ago and I watched it again. Must say I enjoyed it even more than the first time. The ending is great, and the idea of aliens bursting out of human chests is always very disturbing. Also I think Michael Fassbender is very good in this role
