Alien DTS Problem

I picked up the 2 disk special edition DVD of Alien last week that contains both the 2003 director's cut and the theatrical version. On the theatrical version I noticed a couple of sound drop-outs on the DTS track. Anyone else experience this? This is the second disk in the past couple weeks that I have had experienced problems on a DTS track. Maybe I need to update my DVD player.

 

Do you by chance have a Denon DVD Player? I've heard of this problem on the 2200 and 2900, I believe.

 

No, I actually have a Panasonic that I have had for a few years. I just received a receiver that can decode DTS about a month ago.
