Is the 2010 hi-res audio still available somewhere? Unfortunately I came too late for this.

Unfortunately not Andrew. I remember going to the website and scoffing at the price. I ended up skipping it :sigh:
Oh well my old US cd will have to suffice, warts and all

I have nothing against the original vinyl. The sound it has - for better or for worse - is the sound it has. If someone is going to remix it, he might as well remix every single rock album ever made because there aren't many of them that can stand beside the best jazz or classical recordings.

It's a shame the mix is terrible, but I wouldn't change a thing about the actual recording. Give me all of it and the kitchen sink...just mix it better.

Do you mean an original US pressing? There’s no mix differences between the US and UK albums.

Bernie Grundman did not cut the 2017 vinyl reissue. It was Ron McMaster.

Remix? Dryer? Sounds like All Things Must Pass...Naked. Lol.
I have the original US Apple, German original Apple, and the remastered CD with bonus cuts. The vinyl is my preferred listen, but the CD is ok sometimes when I don't feel like flipping.

Agreed! I have always liked the packaging and tend to enjoy the music side by side.

I bought on vinyl a new US Orange Capitol in the late 70s, a used 1970 Orange Apple (everything clean, vinyl, sleeves, poster, box), the 1990s fatbox CD, the 2001 remaster CD, and the 2014 Apple Years Box.

No I misspoke, I mean that pressing.

I do not have a U.K. pressing yet.

I have yet to find how few or many were produced. All of Harrisons other albums were remastered , but none of them were said to be limited editions. I just go on past experience that the 2001 remaster was limited, the 2010 Record Day was limited and numbered as well. Both run above 100.00 with the Record Day climbing to ridiculous heights of money. Know this though, the 2001 was poorly pressed, with lots of warp and clicks. I think the 2017 is dead quiet. I therefor think it will hold its value and be regarded as a better recording than 2001. With too few copies of the 2010 RSD version, I would jump on this train now before it leaves the station. IMO!

I bought it on the week it came out and although I was into Hi-Fi then I don't remember thinking about the mix, loved it.
I was playing the same pressing only last week, and still I love it for what it is.

Not sure what Digital Download this copy is, as a friend gave it to me.
Most likely the HD Tracks Version but it sounds pretty good to me, of course if there is a better sounding with more Dynamic master, id love to give it a listesn.

I've got the original CD, 2001 re-jiggering, and the one from the 2014 Apple Years box set. Mastering compromises were made on the latter, but it's a bit easier on the ears than the prior versions; plus the "Apple Scruffs" harmonica doesn't have you lunging for the volume control when it comes on. So, that's my choice.

Has anyone ever compared the 2010 UK vinyl (I assume the US & UK were the same cuts) to the 2017 vinyl?

I have a copy of STCH 639 purchased from Goodwill about 10-20 years ago... It was very noisy and relegated to my junk LP bin until today! Thanks to my new spin clean this record is salvaged, and sounds damn good. There are a few pops but nothing I haven't encountered over and over from E-bay sellers proclaiming them NM or Ex. My day is made......

Discogs lists STCH 639 as 1976.......
