John Lennon rated The Move very highly he said ' there like the Hollies with balls" and when Trevor Burton left the Move his first band was called BALLs also in the band was Denny Laine.

Well, I always loved The Electric Light Orchestra (No Answer in the U.S.) but my favorite Roy album is jazzy Super Active Wizzo by Roy Wood Wizzo Band.

Yes his Wizzard ( spectorian production ) is a joyous affair. His ELO was great chamber pop.

I love The Move's run of singles but not so keen on the albums and Roy's solo stuff. Meet Me At The Jailhouse is great/bonkers and popular though they are it's hard to knock See My Baby Jive and Wish It Could Be Xmas...perfect wall of sound pop. I'll have to dig out Wizzard Brew for a spin.
The "Ace Kefford"-era Move was my favourite and it's a shame there isn't more live film of them in action with that 4-man frontline. No doubting that Roy is a tremendous talent but he has chosen a somewhat..er...idiosyncratic career path.
BTW. what's Ace up to...he seemed to be doing much better a few years back with the release of his lost lp but not heard a peep out of him for years.

Omnibus is the great lost Number 1 of 1968- thrown away as a B side!

Yes, I love this album; especially the use of splashing water as percussion in "Wake Up."

Boulders, Message from the Country and ELO are my favorites - amazing when you consider all three were recorded during the same time - well at least some of Boulders.

I love the heavier moments of the Move--Turkish Tram Conductor Blues, Brontosaurus, Hello Susie etc, but I also am a fan of Wild Tiger Woman which sounds almost glam several years early.
