Umm I think it's safe to say it will not be found on Spotify...:righton:
'course the format these days of releasing singles has changed...
Maybe I'm be eating my words this time around! Lol
Either way, I have never been so ready to drop a "C" note on a box set!
    Bring it on Tool!

Right, but Tool assembles the entire song, then sends them off to Maynard. I think that's a bit unusual. Songs develop from riffs all the time, but for most bands it's a collaborative effort.

This is a very good breakdown of Schism Rick Beato goes very in depth about each part of the song. Actually the entire series is very enlightening and interesting to watch I recommend you check it out.

Can' t listen to it over here, but with Schism it's pretty simple: Forward motion combined with first-rate musicianship. Tool-songs barely stay in one spot.
    Almost like paintings.

These anniversaries remind me how cool my parents are: I was 9 when this album was released. But I remember listening to it around that time. It's good to have parents that are into music!

Sorry I was being smart. Him being that age makes me feel old! Should have added an appropriate emoticon.

Thanks Beatnik_Daddyo'73 for letting me know about this thread...

Thought you guys may appreciate this:
    Tool - 72826 (2018 Private Remaster) - YouTube

A good few years ago I worked on a cassette transfer of this tape and managed to make some improvements to the sound, a challenge considering the poor sources available at the time.

After a comment from a YouTuber regarding my original remaster not being sourced from the master tapes (well, I don't personally know Tool and so it would be a fair challenge for me get access to them...), I sourced a far superior transfer of the tape and set to work... See, sometimes criticisms can be (semi) worthwhile.

Here we are, the 2018 remaster, hands down the best I've heard this cassette sound, how the band got such a great recording down to 4-track is very impressive indeed.

I also set to work on restoring the artwork, there isn't a scan out there on the interworld that looks right... so here you go.

Enjoy... because the chances of this getting an official release from the master tapes is absolutely slim to none.

(For comparison, here is the original upload: Tool - 72826 - YouTube )

Nice to know what you think, much cleaner and higher generation source tape for this version so in that respect it's far better than what I had to work with five years ago!
