Really looking forward to reading the book. What's a story those girls have.

Her last (solo) album was fabulous so I have big expectations for this. These two look like they may be the highlight of the fall so far.

It's a fine album but for me she peaked with "The Hardest Part" and everything after that is just a bit of a letdown for me. THP is a country classic album on a par with Hank Williams. The heartbreak just pours out of my speakers with that album.

Changing subjects, I like the little whistle she does when a line ends with an s. It's her version of sibilance.

After seeing that Allison Moorer co-produced and wrote songs for husband Hayes Carll's album What It Is, I decided to check out her music. I had heard her name before but knew nothing about her. Now I'm a fan. I love her voice and her songwriting. For me, Down To Believing is her very best and the title track may be my favorite of all her songs. Hers is an amazing story as told in her book Blood, which is an excellent and emotional read. I enjoy the album Blood as well.

By the way, What It Is by Hayes Carll is my favorite record from 2019. Love it.

I'm listening to Allison read the audiobook -- which is a very moving experience.

I didn't realize about her involvement with Hayes' album -- I am going to give it a listen right now.

Whilst I'm not sure I exactly agree with this sentiment, your post made me go out and buy The Hardest Part . It is indeed a fabulous album - so many thanks. It's one I had overlooked.

One of the beauties (or curses) of this forum is you continue to discover new music from other members posts.

I listened to the autopsy chapters while out on my evening walk last night. Shattering.

You're welcome! I'm glad I didn't steer you wrong. One of my quirks is that I have trouble following artists as they change directions. It sometimes takes me a while to catch up.

Forums like this are a curse for your wallet but a beauty for your ears.
