Other Notes: These gorgeous speakers are only a few weeks old. Customer's wife decided that she did not like the color. They are in like-new condition in every respect.

JM Labs / Focal Sopra No. 2 Floorstanding Speakers; N2 (3 weeks old) (3243) | Full range | Broomfield, Colorado 80020 | Audiogon

I had one woman tell me she didn't like all my audio equipment in the living room and I told her when she starts paying the bills for me she can say that, otherwise . . .

Needless to say there was no second date.

Meh. On the other hand, happy wife, happy life. Here the seller gets to buy himself a new pair of speakers. Doesn't sound like a problem to me.

Horrid looking - I like natural wood finishes for monkey coffins.

If I were going spend that much of our money on a stereo component, the least I'd do is let my wife pick the color.

  6. The real reason she didn't like those Focal speakers is because the top of the speakers is angled. You can't put a vase or potted plant on those speakers. A speaker with a flat top will get you better WAF.

I wouldnt want to buy anything from their supplier, if after owning just 3 weeks (and running them in a bit), the best they can do is list them for a $4k loss

I've been wowed by a few pairs of JM labs speakers. Especially the big ones.

And I'd be mighty pleased to own the pair in question (room allowing).

But I sure couldn't pretend they were handsome/beautiful.

Not while keeping a straight face anyway.

Those are really ugly, both in design and color.

OP definitely did not need that woman. Red speakers are fine, but would not go with my decor.

Don't think they are bad, kind of like them.
Fortunately my wife really doesn't care about things like that.

I'd offer him $7500, used is used. I know someone who has these in red and he's [big surprise alert!]single[/big surprise alert!]. The black is what I'd gravitate towards with these beasts.

They should be called the Focal Tipsy. Maybe the designer drank an entire bottle of Yamazaki 18 and tried to draw a straight line.

The color is a matter of taste, but these are some great sounding speakers. Not enough discount for a used pair, I smell bull.

These are being offered for sale by TMR Audio, an Audio Re-seller. The original owner has taken a real bath on these considering what TMR more than likely paid him up front.

My wife has no say whatsoever on what gear I buy. I have my mancave and I can do whatever I want with it. My wife wanted free reign on the kitchen and living room. Nothing wrong with have some personal space to do as one sees fit with it. :)

If anywhere those are destined for the managers office in a Ducati dealership.

Focal has a wonderful new line with swap out color faces. Not sure if these are them but are similar.
