Wow big improvement in appearance IMO!! Looks like probably incremental improvement in sound quality.

Also...I just begun really digging deep on Joe Jackson. I booked marked your project to help fund when I can.

Night and Day is pure genius in my opinion.

Do you have all the licensing right and such together? Is Joe ok with it?

Thanks so much for the support!
All the licensing is taken care of; Sony is giving us quite a bargain on the rights for the premier; but if the show takes off (and there is some real interest in NYC), that will change. Joe and his management are enthusiastically supporting the show. Unfortunately he will be on tour and unable to attend in person.

    That's awesome, man.

Joe is one of the guy no one knows these days. They really do take his music for granted as usually some band that had a one hit wonder.

HUH?! What am I missing? They look virtually identical to me.

Same here. With a 3 year old running around a 6 month old who'll be joining her soon I've been looking more at speakers with hard mesh grills for my 5.1 system. Maybe I can find some of the older ones really cheap.

There is information on the differences in the big thread on these speakers here and on AVS forums. A couple of the differences include more robust woofers for tighter bass, and a taller dimension for the floorstanders to make the tweeter closer to ear height.

Same shape, same black wood-grain look. But, with a different grill style. *shrugs* So, pretty close to the way they looked before. Certainly not a massive change warranting a, "wow, a big improvement in appearance!" reaction. IMHO, of course. Obviously, you feel differently.

Add me to the growing line of preferring the old design aesthetics. More unique, sleeker, more subtle. At least from that picture, I'm not a fan of the new oval grill patch.

Those sound like worthy improvements. I wonder if overall they'll be very noticeable or more subtle. (Translation: Do I need to put them on my Xmas wish list again. :shh:)

I didn't see it stated anywhere, but wonder if these grills are removable?

I think there are photos with the grills removed on the pioneer site.

Much prefer the old look. I have the entire set.

But I didnt buy them to look, I bought them to listen. Wonder how much improved the new ones sound?

  19. I am pretty psyched that a company with big-box distribution is making ultra-low priced speakers that sound good.

Cool. I might buy a pair now for the bedroom. Meant to get the first generation, but since these are coming out, guess I'll look for them.

So it looks like there will be no new version of the 41's? Just the 21's?

I believe in the avsforum.com thread, it was mentioned that a new version of the 41 will be introduced at a later time. Btw, Andrew Jones posted in that thread within the last several days on the size of the new center channel speaker.
