Another "pretty" waveform...eh?

    For the record - The above waveforms are shots of the entire two songs in their entirety - not just close-ups of particular sections. Also, the average RMS value for the top waveform (throughout the entire song) is 10.29 db for the left channel and 9.67db for the right. For the second (non Astley) waveform, those values increase to 15.31db for the left and 14.76db for the right. They both peak at nearly the same maximum value ( -.23db vs
    -.49 db from 0 full scale). So, all Astley has done has decreased the overall dynamic range throughout the entire song by roughly 5-6 db! As a reminder, the original track only had about 17db of dynamic range to begin with!!!

    In this case, I think the waveforms speak for themself!:)
