I always wonder if you could go back to 1940 and tell people. that in 2017 the Three Stooges would be major stars, with movies made about them, books, episodes on television, what would they say? Would they say, not surprising, the first t century A.D. satirists/grumpy old men Juvenal and Lucian mentions similar acts in their writings. Or would they be shocked, like telling us in 2100 people like Billy Mays and QVC hosts will be highly regarded.

    Oh, Wise guy, huh?

No such thing as too much Shemp.

I never liked Shemp watching them all as a little kid in the 60's, and watching several yesterday it hit me nothing had changed in all those years. I was disappointed every time it was another Shemp episode because he revulsed me... versus Curly makes me feel joyous watching him with Moe and Larry.

It seemed to follow the pattern if Curley, Shemo, Curley, Shemp, Curley, Shemp etc.

Shemp was an original Stooge. Then he left the group because he did not like Ted Healy. They brought in baby brother Jerome, cut his hair and renamed him Curly. After Curly's stroke Shemp returned knowing if he didn't it would be the death of the Stooges. But I like all of the Stooges, even Joe Besser.

The Shemp episodes have more stooge violence. Case closed.
