Any fans of legendary songwriter Kostas?

Kostas is arguably one of the top songwriters in the Nashville scene. He started as a rock artist in the 1960s/70s, fronting his own band and touring the northwest. The hits did not take off until the 1980s, when he made the transition to country music. Kostas went on to write over 800 songs for artists such as Etta James, Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, The Mavericks, Emmylou Harris, Conway Twitty, Patti Loveless, Wynonna Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Allison Krauss, Brooks and Dunn, Vince Gill, George Strait, The Dixie Chicks, Jo Dee Messina, Marty Stuart, The Bellamy Brothers, Sammy Kershaw, Tracy Byrd, John Berry, Neal McCoy, Rick Trevino, Freddy Fender, Marie Osmond, Kelly Willis, Joy White, Great Plains and Prairie Oyster.

He was the man behind some of Dwight Yoakam's biggest singles. Due to confusion and ignorance regarding the pronunciation of his Greek surname, Kostas dropped his last name and that is why most of the songwriting credits only list his first name.

I should also add that Kostas worked with Corky Laing of Mountain on the 1999 Cork album "Speed Of Thought," which featured ex-Jimi Hendrix bassist Noel Redding.
