Last I heard Steve was negotiating for unenhanced original versions of their albums. Any developments?
I *think* Steve mentioned that Bill Ham is the keeper to the keys for this project, and he doesn't want it to happen. He's basically the one who remixed the ZZ Top CDs years ago. Unfortunately, the only CD that shows the honesty of the London LPs is the "Best Of ZZ Top" on WB.
I remember reading something recently that said a Z Z Top box set of live recordings, remixes & "rare" tracks was in the works to be released in 2003.
The Best of ZZ Top WB LP is not bad either. I picked it up used for 2 or 3 bucks. It's been on the TT several times lately. BC
Any London LPs you pick up are quite good. Trying to find one that isn't "well loved" can be scarce. They're wonderful though.
