Better than T Rex for my money. Old, new, borrowed and blue is a favourite.

Absolutely! Slade are one of the best live bands I ever saw , & I've seen a few!

  7. I've never seen Coz I Luv You here in the States. I got The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome as an import. The North American version of Kamikaze is called Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply and they replaced "Cocky Rock Boys" and "Razzle Dazzle Man" from Kamikaze with "Keep Your Hands Off My Supply" and "Can't Tame A Hurricane" as well as shuffling around the remaining tracks.

Absolutely. Slayed, Sladest, Old New and In Flames are great. Slade Alive is awesomely righteous .

Coz I Luv You the album was released in only a few countries, including Argentina, the Netherlands, Germany and Australia. I bought the Australian pressing. It's a good LP. Obviously it was quickly compiled to capitalise on the success of the single of the same name, but the tracks here are great. It includes B-sides and (according to Wikipedia) songs from Play It Loud.

Never did understand why Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome was changed to Keep Your Hands Off my Power Supply for the North American market. I really dig the Kamikaze cover.

This one has aged extremely well and it's now time for it to be mentioned in Greatest Albums polls. It is that good.

They were a great singles band that's for sure.

I haven't either, none of the earlier studio albums. I did find a promo 'Run Runaway', 'Keep' (to compliment my old US DADC compact disc) and Sladest in the last five years.

Yes KYHOMPS was sealed (no hype sticker though.
Saw some other USA Slade LPs (Slayed, Alive etc.), but they were well worn.

They’re okay. My Oh My is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, though. Run Run Away and Look Wut U Dun are classics.

  15. How did "How d'You Ride" and "The Whole World's Goin' Crazee" not get released as singles? Talk about an embarrassment of riches.

Mmm interested. Slade were a fantastic singles band but in my opinion those two singles are pretty poor for them, especially Look Wot U Dun. It was their one poor single in that classic run from Coz I Luv You....

I’ve only heard the Greatest Hits a few times, and certain song a few hundred times, so maybe I’ll grow to like others more.

They're a lot of fun. Really great singles to blast out loud but also very melodic.

I've got the Feel The Noize compilation which covers Get Down And Get With It through Radio Wall Of Sound.

Respectfully disagree there. Look Wot You Dun is, for me anyway, quite a catchy song. The single of Run Runaway doesn't hold a candle to the album version, I think. The added length builds up the song quite well.

Run Run Away owes a bit of a debt to Big Country.

I run a Slade forum and the list of 'steals' on there is quite lengthy and amusing / disturbing.

Sorry to have come into this thread so late, but is there anywhere I can find the images posted, as I'm curious as to the issues that have driven a permanent wedge between the members of the band beyond what appeared in the controversial Daily Mail article.

    Thanks.
