My daughter liked the move Curly Sue when she was younger - it was on over the weekend & I saw Steve Carrell's first on screen appearance there.

Brad Pitt in a TV commercial from 25 years ago:

He gets a close-up about :12 seconds in.

  5. Similar to the above, here's what must be Jack Black's first major bit of exposure. I actually remember seeing this at the time...

Jim Carrey in 'The Dead Pool' (and fabulously OTT)

Robert Redford in 'The Twilight Zone' as Death, IIRC

Michael Weatherley (NCIS) in 'The Cosby Show'

James Woods in 'M*A*S*H' (tv series)

David Bowie in 'The Virgin Soldiers' 1967/8

  7. Renee Zellweger is in there too, but only for about 1/3 of a second. Just try and spot her!

James Woods is also in a season one episode of The Rockford Files from 1974.

Forgot this one; Michael Caine has a VERY brief role as a policeman in the fabulous 'The Day The Earth Caught Fire'.

Scene where Dawson, Wooderson, Pink, and Mitch are talking in front of the Emporium. Renee walks by.

Also, the beer bash at the Moon tower, she pours beer into a funnel I think for Darla. They are at a green truck with 1 other female cast character.

Red and blue horizontal stripe tank top both scenes.

I recently saw The Fugitive and was surprised to see Julianne Moore in a small part. Not sure if she was famous already then, but I wasn't aware of her. She does have higher billing in the cast than you would think, but apparently it was supposed to be a bigger part & they left her name near the top.

Another actress in that movie that surprised me was Jane Lynch.

Moore was in 4 films and numerous TV movies prior to The Fugitive but she wasn't really "known" until a little later. I first became aware of her from the movie Safe (1995).

I knew that Harrison Ford had been in at least one episode of Gunsmoke on TV, but I didn't know it was all the way back to the black & white episodes (the first two years, I think.) He did a pretty good job of acting as I was primarily focused on his character throughout the hour. He didn't play a kid either. Maybe a 20-something.

Damn, I hate that I got this wrong about Harrison Ford. It was a color episode of Gunsmoke I saw him in (not black & white.) He was still quite young and quite good.

Two episodes of Gunsmoke in 1972-73. Should have checked IMDb to start with.

A somewhat pre-fame Bruce Lee in Marlowe with James Garner and Carroll O'Connor. Kind of like Bruce takes on Rockford + Archie Bunker

Sammo Hung (remember Martial Law with Arsenio Hall?) takes on Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. I guess this was when MMA was born....
