He was actually a "singing cowboy" in some of those films.

  2. Yep, and apparently she had a small speaking part that ended up on the cutting room floor. Anyway, here are some pix for those interested but not enough to do a search...

Gary Busey in The Magnificent Seven Ride.... he only has a couple minutes' worth of screen time, but it's the earliest role of his that I've ever seen.

Not sure if this was mentioned... Viggo Mortensen played an Amish dude in 1985's Witness, starring Harrison Ford.
This was Viggo's first appearance in a feature film.

I just saw Charles Bronson, as a gangster, in the 1952 film "Pat and Mike", with Tracy and Hepburn.

I saw an episode of Barnaby Jones recently and was surprised to see a very young Sean Penn. He must have been about 18 or 19. The episode originally aired in 1980. I don't think he had ever been in a film at that point, it was a small role.

Here's one I bet not many people know about:

In the 1966 film The Deadly Bees, future Stones/Faces guitarist Ron Wood can be seen near the beginning of the movie, as one of the members of the band The Birds who are filming a music video.

What surprises me is a big named actor in a cheap, B-grade film.
Ben Kings;ey in "Bloodrayne" for instance.

Steven spielberg did a lot of tv episodes before he hit it big with Duel.
So I used to go between UCLA library and USC and they had some of the episodes......I think it was Owen Marshall, Counselor at law where they were showing some commercials and one of them had Diane Keaton drinking orange juice.

Aaron Paul ("Jesse Pinkman" from Breaking Bad) in a 2001 episode of The X-Files.

Coincidentally, Bryan Cranston ("Walter White" from Breaking Bad) also appeared in an earlier (1998) episode of The X-Files, although it wasn't really a pre-fame role, since he had already made quite a few movie & TV appearances by then.
