I assume they are in 5.1 on DVD. The image on the blu-rays is excellent, and the sound is KICKING !

Just picked up the DVD box set of the complete Breaking Bad for £15!!
Think I might have to start watching it all over again

 

Yeah. I watched both now on DVD &BD, now looking for the barrel blu ray one next.

 

Started watching this series for the third time ( yeah it's that good). Noticed the blu ray ( steel box edition ) picture quality darker than the first blu ray box. No biggie, but

 

Dang, no breakfast burritos.

 

not quite HD quality. The new BD first season disc one, second episode ...Skyler/Walt in bed scene started to pixelate....

Could a feature film ever came out during the seasons run?

 

Having binged the whole thing in 4K (or thereabouts) on Netflix, now I want a UHD box set of it....progress is terrible for one's wallet. Still, the combination of 35mm production and 4K can't be beat. One of the best-looking, most cinematic TV-based shows ever made.

 

It is a gorgeous show - that is obvious even without the kind of equipment you have. The prequel show "Better Call Saul," now airing is just as beautiful and I can't imagine any BB fan wouldn't like it.

 

I only got through a few episodes of Better Call Saul and gave up on it. Maybe I'll binge watch it someday.

 

Just started rewatching the series the other day. Forgot how great it was

 

Wow, I just caught this amazing parody that combines Breaking Bad with Frozen, and it's both hilarious and moving. It actually captures about a dozen key moments from the original show, and does it very well.

 

I'm going to start rewatching BB soon, but I better pick up the boxset on Bluray for all the extras too.

 

Marathon today on AMC. First episode now airing.

I didn't pick it up until season 2 (then backtracked w/ blu's), so no anniversary for me.

I didn’t start watching until the summer of 2011. I binged the first three seasons in two weeks.

 

I have a completely free day tomorrow. Might see how far I can get through the complete series bluray set.

 

great show. I just got around to watching it last year and loved it. It was a little uneven at times but the best episodes are among the best TV I've ever seen and better than most movies even.
