Reviews seem to indicate it truly is bad enough to be good (a fine line, to be sure)...I didn't watch it, but it's going to be reshown next Thursday (7/18). Might have to set the DVR.

    Anyone see it already?[IMG]

And all year I joked with my kids that the next SyFy Channel movie would probably be Mega Shark vs Mega Fault.

Apparently every single person on my Twitter feed watched it.

My kids had recorded the last 15-20 minutes, and insisted that I watch it when I got home from work yesterday. Unbelievably bad, but funny. The kids must've said "wait, it gets worse" at least 10 times.

Looks awesome, in a "so-bad-it's-good" kinda way, of course.

The visual effects were the worst ever -- and that's saying something, especially for TV. Some of the stuff looked it was cooked up by a Junior High student working out of his garage; I suspect the entire effects budget was around $6.50.

On the other hand, the concept was so awful, would the show have been any better if they had spent $10 million on the effects? No.

It actually got a genuine, non-ironic A+ review on AVClub for sheer entertainment value. The review never pretends it's anything but awful, but seems to imply that it's fun enough anyway that it doesn't matter.

After hearing all the people talking about this and all this word of mouth free advertising about it I figured I'd watch it for a laugh. Looked adhead for 2 weeks. Not showing again. I don't get that. Don't you strike while the iron is hot?
Well I checked again and they decided to show it once on the 14th.

Thing is though I feel there is more honesty and integrity in that movie than The Lone Ranger.

I think your right. 4pm here. Isn't that odd that all the crap nobody talks about they repeat the heck out of it and here all this talk and one time.

Very funny and self consciously funny, at that. They take it seriously [not campy] playing it straight knowing it's hilariously bad. Apparently became a social media phenomenon during its original run.

I love how the sharks come flying out of the sky bouncing off the ground without ill effect or diving directly at people and taking a huge bite out of them.

"Sharks + tornado = Sharknado. Enough said."

LOL. I was off Twitter that night and was catching up post-Sharknado ("the morning after"). Hilarious. I'll try to tune in Thursday, but the TwitNado v2 will be better than the film!

Can you guys imagine what would happen if Troll2 was aired on cable!? I think Twitter would meltdown.

This movie was deliciously awful, but I missed the first half. There's nothing I'd rather do on Thursday than watch the repeat.
