Heh. There's been some shenanigans on discogs over this release. When copies were first appearing for sale they were asking crazy prices, like $500. Now those are gone and a ton of comments have been deleted.

Looks like $70 is the cheapest right now, but I believe the record is $20 and then consider the value of your time + gas money for the trip.

Once you add in shipping, customs dues... north of $100 USD for two songs I already have in high quality in my digital library. No thanks... but maybe one day haha

Appreciated. Hoping for more CD releases of the soundclood dump tracks. A proper Box Set is wishful thinking....

New streaming/downloading site up with a number of new, previously unreleased tracks.

    "end E2" is spectacular.

Agree re: end E2. That was the first track I streamed.

So all the new tracks are unreleased material from those albums?

There's some live stuff, too, from a London gig in June. It sounds like studio material, though.

Stride Portugal is just awesome. Some truly hidden gems there. I made a playlist of the new stuff and it's just like getting a new aphex record!

It's intimidating to even try to get a grasp on his discography, much less listen to all the famous releases.

As it should be for all groundbreaking and prolific artists. A bit upset that the flood of old tracks will prolly never see proper CD release.
I'm sure that decision is down to RDJ himself. I'm sure Warp would be more than happy to press up CDs with hype stickers all over them! I'd be happy to buy all of them too.

I bet we will only ever see a small fraction of what's on his hard drive. At least he should bequeath his entire personal cache of tracks to the world upon his death(hopefully not until 2070).

On the Warp web store it looks like there is 7 officially releases since Syro. It’s hard to keep up.

Really like Syro and think it is of his best work. Kind of hope he will prioritize making his new music rather than releasing stuff, and if we'll get to hear some in say twenty years time it will be worth it!
That said. I do think he appreciates the appreciation he gets from his listeners tho, and believe that also keeps him going.

Aphex Twin will be appreciated hundreds of years from now, maybe for all time.

As someone who's self taught on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and plans on learning saxophone, trumpet, violin, and flute when money and time allow, electronic music is about the furthest thing from my mind at the moment. Maybe I'm a boring traditionalist, but what can I say, I like what I like.
