Does anybody here own or know anything about the AR77XB ? Was it a decent and tweakable belt drive in it's day ? I see them on e-bay fairly cheep.
If that's the more recent model, like about 10 years old, then yes. One mail-order place offered them with AudioQuest arms and I think they were considered good just stock. And there were some tweaks available back then. I would think this could be a real good entry level type bargain to break into vinyl/analog. Although there are some fairly reasonable new decks out there from Sumiko and Rega which incorporate a little more new technology possibly and a warranty.
