No what was boring and predictable was the reaction of the McCartney fanboys who cant even take a bit of fun being poked at their hero.

Grown men behaving like pre-pubescent girls getting all upset about any form of "criticism" of their "idols" is actually quite sad, if not slightly disturbing.

Still its no3 on iTunes Switzerland.....excellent!

Thank God McCartney didn't get involved with that, is my take as well.

Had Paul worked with the Lips instead, we would probably all be moaning about a Miley Cyrus/McCartney duet. What a hideous thought.

No, what is boring and predictable is that McCartney's career is boiled down to a children's song that he wrote over 30 years ago buy a fully grown man looking for a cheap laugh.

    Why are you here?
You don't seem to like McCartney's direction coming or going.
    So why are you here?
    Would your mother be proud?

No, I can take a bit of fun being poked at Paul, but that article wasn't fun, it was a boring old insult being wheeled out for the millionth time.

If I want to see a fun parody of Paul, I would rather watch this:

We've been listening to "a bit of fun" poked at our hero for 40 years now. It's not an original approach. Don't take it personally that I didn't find funny something you found funny. There wasn't a single thing in that Daily Mash post that hadn't been written a million times before. It was lame. But you keep right on giggling like the pre-pubescent girl you are. And I'll keep being irritated like the pre-pubescent girl you think I am.

As I expected, you avoided the real question. Why are you here?
And, by the way, the question you did answer was "Would your mother be proud?" Not, "Will your mother be proud?".
Can you even tell the difference?

My mother wouldn't give a toss if you must know, as I recall from my childhood before she passed away she preferred the Rolling Stones!

I'm here because one of the joys of this forum, apart from the excellent resource that it is, is watching grown men getting their knickers in a twist over things that are so trivial in the grand scheme of things.

Now seriously, step back from the keyboard and chill out before you give yourself an aneurism or something!

Come now. You're not laughing at "your hero." This must mean you are humorless (and not, say, that you found a parody site's post on McCartney to be just a wee bit predictable.)

So you're the type who get their jollys at other's expense, huh? No surprise there.

I don't think Paul needs us to defend his honor from the British tabloids. He won life a long, long time ago. All of the chatter around this Kanye collaboration is a tempest in a teapot in the grand scheme of his life and achievements.

We're all on this forum for the excellent resources. I meant, as everyone else could plainly see, this thread in particular.

Am I going to have explain everything to you?

No way. Blessings are earned, not automatic. His recent song with K. West is embarrassingly bad. Can't believe he even associates himself with this guy. Horrible stuff.

"Electrical Arguments" is a great album. To be honest, I didn't care for much of what he has released after that. "Kisses On the Bottom" didn't interest me at all because of the musical style he had chosen for it, and I just couldn't get into "New": I was pretty much bored by it. That might change at one point, though.
